BEWARE! Bankers trying to catch you

A long term friend who is normally very money wise found that his tax free ISA which had started at a touch over 3% had been reduced to under 1% and no one had told him! Now there is a surprise. Your editor had mentioned the possibility almost casually but old Jack was into his bank within an hour and got the matter reorganised to 2.5%, had he gone to a bank with the name of a Spanish town he could have got 2.75% but he likes to keep his affairs simple so he stayed with a bank that sounds a bit Welsh.

Successful Trial

Third time this evening and I got in without difficulty, it remains to be seen if others can.

The purpose of this blog is to enable members of the club to pass information around and that way possibly do without the quarterly magazine 'Whats on'. Or it may be that this will act as a monthly supplement to keep members right up to date. Others may have other suggestions, above all else it is not intended to be an ego trip for either the editor or any member, I want it to be interesting for members firstly but others secondly.
